Giving Thanks :D

With all the turkey, pumpkin pie, and potatoes yesterday I was reminded of how much I have to be grateful for! In this world it is hard sometimes to think of and remember the good things in our lives. But think about it we have an entire day once a year dedicated to giving thanks for those people and things that bring joy, happiness, love, and the difficult experiences we have for comparison. How can we really be grateful for one and not the other? I mean would the days we get to sleep in really be as nice if we didn't have to wake up every other morning? And would that mid afternoon stretch really feel as good if we didn't work all morning? I hope that while you are reading this you can think of a few things you are thankful for today, right now, at this very moment.

I took a minute yesterday to watch this cool video by the LDS church. It was so good. Thanks Shalyn for sharing! I really am so thankful for everything and everyone I have been blessed with. I like the guy in the red shirt! He's so funny! I too am thankful for these everyday things like my comfy bed, and nice clothes. This season I am especially glad for my job, my family, my friends, my pets, my Heavenly Father, and my Savior. Also food. I love food. :D Fatties with flair haha. I am happy to have my grandparents living with me and the opportunity to be home for a semester! I had forgotten how much I love being home. I am thankful RIGHT NOW for my computer and the internet! I think both are amazing. I still think its fantastic that one wire connected to another wire connected to a motherboard (plastic and metal square thing) make a computer work. I am grateful that like with everything, all the little parts are able to work together to make it work. I am happy and love my body for all of the seemingly impossible things it is able to accomplish everyday and how flexible it is to my schedule and my needs, and all it asks is that I am mindful of it. Of course there is much much more but for this moment that is what I am the most grateful for. Oh and I forgot to mention peace and quiet. I thoroughly enjoy the solitude I can find at times like this. :)

In case you are wondering...the title of my blog is in Swahili. I am a big fan of proverbs in other languages. Swahili, Spanish, Hindi, and Sanskrit to name a few. This saying "Mstahimilivu Hula Mbivu" simply means, A Patient Man Will Eat Ripe Fruits. I have my own saying "Ripe PEaches" and I thought the similarity was just too cool. For me it has always been a saying of comfort. As long as I am trying my best to do the will of the greater power than all things will happen in their time. Patience (long term) is also the hardest virtue for me to keep, which is why I like it the most.

I wish you enough.
