You make me smile sunshine :)

You are my Sunshine, my only Sunshine! You make me happy when skies are grey. You never know dear, how much I love you! Please! don't take my Sunshine away! :) lalala

So I am officially in a great mood. My back and head hurt but my heart and soul are so high I wouldn't be surprised if i flew away right now! This weekend was fantastic. I went with some great friends to go see Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet at the Botanical Gardens! It was a really good 1920s version of the story. The acting was surprisingly good! So glad I went! Some much needed girl time. Then on Friday I drove down with awesome people to South Padre Island and stayed the night on the beach at the Gulf of MExico!! Woot! I have now been to the Gulf! And it was breathtakingly beautiful! We had a fire, and dutch oven cooking, and a trampoline, and boogie boards, and a dance party haha! Awesome! It took some convincing for me to go but I do not regret it one bit. In fact I really want to go back now!! hahahaha! After my car got back on saturday all of us went to go see Prince of Persia! Go DISNEY! Seriously! That was a great movie! I was so tired but stayed awake and saw jake gyllenhaal play a hottie persian prince! I was skeptical because of broke back mountain...which no doubt he was great in but I wondered how he would pull this off. But HE DID!!! :) A great sunday of fasting and prayer and break the fast, led to a great day today of answered prayers and hope. Thank goodness for the little things in life :D Its all about the little things!

Funny story. So in sunday school this week our teacher drew the pride/apostacy circle and in an attempt to show us what part of the circle we should avoid by makin a new one and shading the bad part it looked more like a smiley face. So now we have the SMILE of Freedom...that is what we should strive for family.

Today I got my brother to come walk with me to the "F" named park with the pups and it was fun! I am glad he came. It was like sweatin buckets on the way home but well worth it. And we had a good talk. I love walkin and talkin...makes both a little more fun!

ABBYS KITCHEN KOOKIN (Experiment of the day!)
Today I got up and made my brothers some biscuits and gravy, and bacon. We had pancakes on Friday so I held off on that but it was all real good. They are out of school now and so it was my way of helping them celebrate their freedom! It was my first real time making gravy from scratch! I did it though! Note to self and all those out there who need/want to know... use cornstarch and not flour when making gravy with browned hamburger in it...and use some chicken flavoring and milk. I first used water and that was a bad idea...really soupy so thickening with flour made it taste like flour. I fixed it with milk and chicken flavor though. So not bad for a first time! Learned a lot. Use milk and thicken with cornstarch to your preferred consistency!

I was going to make biscuits from scratch too...baking powder biscuits but decided against it because why go to the trouble when I have no shortening and have the premade ones in the fridge? hehe. It was great though.

Anyway Family I hope everyone had a great weekend and continues to enjoy their summers! I love you and wish you all enough.

And as always I am constantly in pursuit of,

Patience
